    Pen Blanks

I decided to do a late spring clean of the shed yesterday due to having acquired a small amount of wood from the scrap bins at a woodyard I went to with a mate of mine. Whilst putting the wood into places I would never forget I chanced upon some Oak that I had forgot I had :rolling: so I ended...

    The Wheel Of Fortune.

I know the Orchestra is not ready until the Lady Harpist is seated and ready to perform the solo. But this is the result of many many hours of scrounging and adaptation. I went to many car wreckers etc they have experienced an unprecedented season where all old steering wheels suddenly became on...

    Yesterdays Project

I know you can buy acrylic pen stands but when you have the means & materials to make them yourself then it's more fun. Only thing I didn't have was an acrylic bender, just wanted something basic & a quick check on youtube sorted one out for me. Turned out I had everything I needed ut the...

    Spring

Hi all, I have wondered for some time now about the springs in RB pens. One end of the spring is more tightly wound than the other. Does it make any difference which way around the spring is inserted? Not the world's most burning question, but I would like to know if there is a purpose to these...

    Ballpoint mechanism

Hello all, as a nooby I'm gathering round me the various bits I think I need. I want to have a go at one or two click-action pens of my own, rather than as kits. I don't seem to be able to buy the necessary spring and plunger mechanisms anywhere. Can anyone help me with this, or am I...

    SPRING arrived late just yesterday.

One of my lapsed hobbies is growing Orchids so Wilma And I went to the Annual Orchid Society Exhibition, proud I resisted buying heaps, too many irons in the fire. Spring hit us suddenly with 26 degrees C yesterday. The Cities Floriade is a goer right now will try to get there as well. Peter.

Some new castings + one not so new

I have been trying for months to get the hang of watch parts pens and carbon fibre pens and seem to have sussed it at last. The Cigar has a faulty mechanism - it seems to work ok when I leave out the spring so that there is no pressure on it, but with the spring it refuses to turn. New mech for...

    Woof!

Dachshund in Sapele, 8" long by 6" high. Body and legs were turned on 2 axis' then sanded to blend in. Ears are pinned so they can move and the tail is spring mounted so it can wag! A present for my dog mad Niece.

    Another Doorstop?

This is the Atlas Pillar Drill I have had sitting on the garage floor ever since I got it from a friend, I paid £30 for it and it also came with a really nice machine vice. I was cleaning it up today and the spring to hold the quill up snapped, I think I put too much pressure on it not knowing...
