    Pen delivery.

I am thinking of delivering my Beaufort pens in a bit of style aboard a Thames steam launch:thumbs:

    First pair....

So first time I've tried making a matched pair, currently a pen and pencil but I don't actually like the way the pencil works as a twist mechanism, it appears better suited to a click style pen so I may end up with two pens :thinks: Padster

Most satisfying pen to date. Kitless in Oak

Finally got to turn the pen I have had in mind for some time now. It has been a big learning curve to get to this point. It is far from perfect, but as it is still only the third Kitless pen I have completed I am very happy with it. Next one will be better. Loving the freedom to use imagination...

    My first pen

Nothing really special but my first so thought I would post it. Made from Beach as I have a lot of this to practice with. I’ve already thought of what I would do differently regarding style etc.

    Sailing By

Just finished a pen commission, the remit was that the buyer liked a piece of music called, “Sailing By”, he also liked the sloop style of yacht. I managed to source a copy of the music manuscript that I adapted to wrap around the main barrel before casting it in resin and turning. The cap is...

    Bottle opener.

I recently saw a Ruth Niles bottle opener kit and thought it looked very stylish, unfortunately you can't get them in the UK at the moment. I had a search and found a similar style but definitely not the same quality. It was an enjoyable project. Bottle opener & Poplar burl handle. - YouTube

    Another music pen

These are not the most practical pens to use due to the weight and I don't go out of my way to help this with the style of turning I have used, however they always get attention and make a statement.

    Another Black Palm

Just to add to the interest around Black Palm I made this one - with X cut Black Palm a couple of weeks ago. I chose the wood/grain to particularly match with this Antique Bronze 'Art Deco' style kit - which I think works quite nicely. Tony

    Photograph blanks......

Hi Guys I have recently seen a few pens that have photographs in the blanks (wrapped around the tube and then cast I assume). Does anyone know who these are available from and what size the photo would need to be for a Sierra style tube? Cheers

    Pen Cases

Anyone know where I can get white or grey velvet style pen cases. I have no problem sourcing the black velvet style ones but white/grey ones seem to be like hens teeth.

    Markers

My cousin came to the open day and saw something to mark her veg with but not any for what she grows so asked if I could make some with rustic style writing. Anyway this is what I came up with and a little extra with the pictures made from Oak and about 1/4" thick 1" wide and 7" long. And I...
