Been out all night at East Yorkshires woodturning club. Got the lathe up and running and just turned a small walnut platter just to get the feel of it nothing special!!!
I think I'll have to drop the stand by a couple of inches to get to a height that is a bit more comfortable for me.
Overall I think it's a dream machine and I'm over the moon with it. I'll put some photos on tomorrow as hopefully I should have a full day in the shed!!!!:thumbs:

Here are photos of my new lathe + a photo of a platter made from a scrap piece of walnut finished with sanding sealer and beeswax. The platter is nothing special as I was just getting the feel of my new toy!!! There is a bit of a shadow at the side of the platter but the sun was shining!!!!
