Hi All,
My annual trip to Woodfest at Belmont in Kent. Its great how a small stately home can put on a festival of wood and wood crafts. It's been steadily growing and they nearly filled the carpark today by mid morning.
It's also my chance to catch up with our Derek from on here(@Dalboy) who is going home a little lighter after I saw him sell a pen! He also sold a pair of pears!
As usual I love to see the chainsaw carving and managed a good upwind position this year... IMG_20220911_135218.jpgIMG_20220911_141337.jpg

Just got in and unloaded had a great weekend forgot to take any photos as busy most of the two days either selling or talking woodturning. Great to meet up again mark even if it was a short chat. I did have a great compliment from a professional cabinet maker who also did a little turning saying that most of the woodturners were not finishing their work or even selling with tool marks and mine were spot on and asked how long I spent finishing as they were silky smooth and no sanding or tool marks.

I’ve been to the Welsh woodfest twice & had a great time. It’s nice to have a meet up. I’ll be meeting a few friends at Harrogate in November.
