It was first attempt at using a black lacquer, the wood is actually Tulipwood so I was going for the contrast, but did deliberately let the edges show as when I buffing between coats it appeared on the first layer and I decided to keep it throughout and treat it like a feature without taking it completely off if that makes sense? (4 coats of lacquer total)
