Excellent. Love the shape. The separation between the different woods is subtle but effective. Looks to be long enough to fit a large hand. Did you use coloured veneer?

Thanks & Yes terry , made the inserts with styrene coloured plastics.

A very interesting design. The two ends have different shapes: in one way, it helps to differentiate the cap and the barrel. In another way, it makes the pen looking like a regular ballpoint, suggesting that the nib (at the pointed end) is where it is not. So I wonder if I the line is confusing or helping the eyes. A matter of preference I suppose, as well as the green styrene strongly contrasting with wood.
For my taste, the upper end of the barrel is a wee bit too large.
A very appealing research Johnny, with plenty of wood replacing the usual iron trinket, I love it! :thumbs:
