frame profile routed out

Cot 127.jpg

not so happy with the mitres but hoping a bit of "wet" sanding with danish oil will fill the gapsCot 126.jpg

had to route the handles in for drawer fronts..just freehand as "mess" not be seen again
Cot 128.jpg
Cot 129.jpg

these fit into a deep "face frame"
just enough gap to leave a bit of expansion all round

think this one may be a disappointment
SWMBO says i am dragging my heels on this one

must admit that working with costly materials is a bit off putting

I'm the same Steve, I put things off that worry me and when I've done it I wonder what the worry was about. I'm sure you'll make a fantastic job of it.

Don't get put off mate, measure twice cut once is the old saying that's very true.
Lift the spirits and carry on, you'll soon see it all making sense and the light at the end of the tunnel.

For what it's worth I think it's looking good.

Great project Steve looks strong as heavy as we went through many over the years for the visiting hordes we never had room only for one as we ended up with five of our own under eight and then after a 8 yrs exciting stuff SWMBO chose to add one more. WE had babes sleeping in drawers in fact most everywhere over the years. You are special will be always remembered for this venture.Like the progress pics.
