I only attempt to sell my pens on the approach to Xmas, and income will depend on venue, was it well-advertised, weather, and how much money is about. I wouldn't even attempt to estimate my potential income. Two years ago I took £900 in just three sales. This year so far, it's been bloody dismal! My view is simply to hope to recover your costs - everything else is a bonus - including the pure pleasure of turning pens!!!

I think you have hit it spot on there Bob!!!!

Every year I sell my pens and other turnings at my church as a fundraiser for the building fund. Last year I raised a little over 1000 USD. I donate the kits and materials, and my time. The entire proceeds of the sales go to the church. I work along all year long making a few things at a time and put them out right after thanksgiving. It is good for the church, good for the people getting the items, and good for my soul. Because I do it a little at a time, it isn't a burden to make up the stock. This year my big sellers are these.
