Ooops. Something I said?:whistling:
Opulent, beautifully appointed, aspirational luxury motor home. There, is that better?
(sorry Christine - I'm just a layman)

I see a little door on the outside I bet there is one on the other side just the right size for a lathe and a slide out system, just make sure you go to a campsite with electric hook up:wink::funny::funny::funny:

Tried it out for a few days last week as soon as we could after the wifes' plaster was removed. Just to Jedburgh so not far and it was excellent, no faults just a little list of things to improve.

Site was hellish busy though.

You guys are amazing. You make pens, retire, and go on the road. I was on the road, retired, and make pens. It's a topsy-turvy world! (Safe travels in your new porta-home, mate. Make friends wherever you go and you'll be blessed for the journey. Godspeed.)

Can you leave the bed made up and still take it up to the roof?

Yeah, There's a double over the lounge area at the back and another over the front dinette so it's just finger on button to operate.
My granddaughter sat on one for 30 mins going up - down - up

Maybe you should try somewhere in Harrogate in a couple of weeks? :thinks::funny:

That thought had crossed my mind Neil but Sue wouldn't go as she still isn't very mobile. I'm not 100% sure I can make it this year though going to do my best and would most likely be the Saturday so will keep a look out for your unmistakable grey tresses. Or has the lovely Ali chopped them off yet?

Cheers Bob.

The Burstners definitely are a class vehicle.

I think it might be a case of Exit boat, Hello motorhome. :-))

It's good quality Paul compared with some of the well known UK brands but not without its' issues. There's a wardrobe door been on order since I bought the vehicle on 19th September. The guy who made it must have been Robin Hood 'cos it's bent like a bow. :whistling:

It's based as most are on a Fiat Ducato which is fine but the DAB radio aerial is apparently in the wing mirror and totally useless, FM is patchy as well so the coachbuilt body is probably the cause. Dealer hasn't a clue and both Burstner and Fiat haven't responded to my emails so I need to sort that eventually, probably have to be an external windscreen mounted aerial

Other strange things are that they don't come with a microwave, perhaps sauerkraut doesn't microwave well:ciggrin: Another is that although it came complete with 2 internal TV aerial points and 1 external plus satellite in facility there was no bloody aerial, didn't find that one out until I got it home.

I arranged to have one fitted reasonably at a local dealer who said no more than an hour or so but when there changed his mind, would need it a full day as he couldn't find the cables where they should be and it would be much more expensive, so I bought the aerial and decided to do it myself.

I couldn't find them either so spent a whole day running 2 cables through tight places and when I tried to get them up behind the wardrobe I couldn't. It was only then I noticed some hidden fixings so removed 6 screws which released a panel and there were all 4 aerial ends plus the 12 volt for the amplifier and 240v I wanted for the microwave.:duh:
There followed much screaming abuse and foul language :rant:which sent the poor dog running to hide and then took me only 30 minutes to fit.

Anyone else ever felt such an RRs as that?:goesred:

Hi Bob,
Why DAB doesn't 'work' in the UK
Did you know, for instance, that many DAB radio stations in the UK are broadcast at just 64kbps "mono" using the MP2 codec? Do not adjust your screen that really is just 64kbps. That really is "mono" not stereo.
That really is MP2 and not MP3.

To put that into context, MP2 is a less efficient codec than MP3, so that 64kbps figure is more like 48kbps in MP3. And that, is actually offensive.

Opinions vary on what makes for decent music quality in the MP3 codec. That's especially true if the context is in-car radio where background noise is prevalent.
So that,s why the BBC is keeping the old radio going for many years with full stereo sound.
So for me, ditch the DAB radio, and buy a new top radio with CD and USB connections. Music to my ears!
Kelvin
