Well at last me bandsaw arrived it was a bit of a struggle unpacking it and getting it from the pavement round to me workshop in the back garden so I have spent the morning setting it up and I must say I am well pleased with it I cut up some 8" thick wood that I have wanted to cut up for ages but me old saw couldn't cope with it a few bits needed fettering but that didnt take long it has a fantastic fence nice and tall for cutting boards and it also has a rack and pinion fine adjustment fitted to the rip fence well worth the money for what I want who's a happy bunny them got a nice black walnut bowl blank and some beautiful pen blanks

Always a pleasure to use a tool that works like it's supposed to. After 25 years I had to have the bearings replaced in my bandsaw. Seems they were packed full of fine dust.

That looks like a serious bit of kit Vic, I fancied your old one but did not have the readies. Yes, that saw should do sterling service.

What blades did you choose Woody looks about hook tooth 4 to the inch in the pic?

Peter.

Thats the standard blade that comes with the saw Peter they also sent a 3/4" x 14 tpi and I have ordered some 1/4" 10 tpi for corian and some 1/2" 4 tpi for cutting bowl blanks and some 1 1/4" 6tpi for ripping down boards
