Welcome to the forum Paul, we need a few more turners from the Midlands to equal the balance up a bit. Too many bloody southerners..

As for fire wood to play with, try searching for tree surgeons in your are and you might be surprised what you find.

Could also find someone selling seasoned firewood logs.:thumbs:

I have a ton of Cherry logs that you're welcome to have a rummage through, can probably find you some cedar logs as well.
