have you had a chat with a specialist about the viability of drying and using Laurel? If its cherry laurel save your chain saw blade and axe it for the fire. There's good reason that you don't see it available for purchase, and its not because its rare! Undoubtedly you will be able to rescue small pieces but it really isnt worth the bother unless you have an open fire or a woodburner.

It just normal laurl hedge I have turned things from it before
