BSea hasn't been around for 8 years, pretty old thread, I doubt an answer will be forthcoming.

John your best bet for finding pen kits etc will be online, Bigger things like lathes etc would be Woodcraft if there are any near you otherwise online too. IAP would be the place to ask since it is US based. There is some overlap since many of us are on both forums but there are nice differences to make both worth belonging to.
