Fresh from the lathe... box from black locust, lid from mapple. Still some work on it for the finish

That's a great box Clement, I've not done anything that big (yet). What finish are you using?

My next box project is on a small a spalted walnut blank I hoping to turn into a trinket box - if I get chance this weekend.

Probably sanding sealer as 1st coat and 3 or 4 coats of melamine...
