This was commissioned by my ex-wife's sister. It's for her husband, for their 20th anniversary. Not sure I like the color/finish combination, but she chose the kit and blank. The kit is a Longwood 30 Caliber in gunmetal from PSI. The blank is an acrylic acetate called Strawberry Mesh from Rockler. The kit doesn't come with the rifle clip, but they're available separately, which is what she wanted. It's currently at the engraver, waiting to get laser engraved.

As the blank was turned for the pics it revealed many faces of real interest, so many contrasts then with the cartridge then the rifle clip. Beaut present for the husband self chosen by his wife and modified by the clip.

Looking good Jim, I think the blank is gorgeous.

I love the blank, too. But It wouldn't be my first choice for that kit. Her husband saw another pen I made with that blank on Facebook, and told her he really liked it. I think it's a great looking pen regardless. That blank really sparkles in the sun.

I have been involved in making pens to order (not an easy task). I appreciate and state wonderfull for you to remain in touch with your ex wifes family in such a way.

The brief given was exceeded IMHO for a great result, this is what penmaking is all about.

Today I cancelled a two year contract I am unable to complete using the out clause in such a friendly way losing no money and maintaining a new friendship . I am making the manager a real beaut pen, he is excited by this.

Sort of restores your faith in human contact.

Peter.
