It was loaded with things so I lay on the floor in the corner to give an Idea of the carved legs. The table expands to accomodate a big family.

I understand it is French The owner was away and I did not want to be shifting it sand or losing a leg. It was bought in Sydney at an Antique Dealer there.

Thanks for the comments proves sold Items can be described differently when in the hands of a dealer, when I visited I really was impressed and still am with the table overall it has a great presence in the room.
