What's the process used for melamine neil? I have a tin but never used it
Melamine does give a very durable finish Matty, though you do have to be patient!
You apply it quickly like CA. It should look dull, if you can see any shiny highlights they will turn into ridges when buffing up.
Unlike CA, you only need a couple of coats.
Apply a coat of Cellulose sealer, and buff. Apply the melamine then go have a cup of tea. Turn up the speed and buff with kitchen towel.
If the finish is good, just apply another coat, and repeat as necessary. If not, burnishing cream between coats will even it out.
The only down side (if it can be called that), is that it cures properly in about 48 hours, so avoid too much handling before then.
No good for "Just in time" stuff, but it does last well.
I used to friction polish over the top, but found it just looked good for a shorter period of time.
