That is a cracking pen Paul, stabilising is a great way of allowing us to use some beautiful timber that otherwise would be used on the log burners .. :wink:

For me Jim its the finish and colour stabilising gives and the finished pen doesn't move like a lot of burrs. I would have used the wood anyway and used a lot of ca to finish it. I might just do a demo with a bit of the punky stuff to show that you don't need to stabilise it to get a nice pen, but it helps... Maybe a project for tomorrow :thumbs:
