Reading through this I think if in doubt then contact them about the kits you require before placing an order to see what time it will take to get the goods. Personally reading that they order when they have enough orders will certainly put me off from even entertaining them. I prefer to order from suppliers that hold stock and where I have heard there is quick turn around and good service.
I don't order very often but I tend to stick with those that I have dealt with or are highly recommended.

Don't knock it until you've tried it is my motto.

I have, in thirty years of making pens, tried pretty much every supplier there is in the UK, the USA and Australia.

In my extensive experience of purchasing pen components, fly-by-night purveyors of Rizheng tat have a strong tendency to be unreliable and unresponsive when things go wrong. So I have a sound basis on which to advise people only to use known and trusted suppliers.

If other people want to use them, that is fine by me, but I will not recommend any supplier that I have not tried and found to be consistently reliable.

Be that as it may, it is not good practice or fair to judge a supplier either way if you have no experience of dealing with them.

On what basis do you make the assumption that I have no experience of dealing with them?
Because saying so would have been the logical thing to do seeing that was the question in the first place. Some people wil agree with your view and some will agree with mine. I feel that we've hijacked this thread and we should leave it at that, shake hands and agree to disagree on this one.

As expected all different views. I have used Tony at penkits.uk for over 3 years and been very satisfied, will be using him again. The only reason I asked about PEN-KITS is that they have celtic twist kits which Tony does't. I know some other sites have the pens but at 3 times the price of pen-kit and seeing I have not seen these kits I didn't want to pay a lot. I know you get what you pay for but I,m experimenting
The out come is that I have ordered 2 kits from PEN-KITS and will give feed back eventually to you all.

As promised this is my opinion and all I can say. At the moment fantastic service,7days to get the kit which I am very happy with and have ordered some more. I had a problem finding an assembly instruction for this particular kit, contacted Rachel and received an instruction within minutes. Keeping fingers cross that this good service continues.:thumbs::thumbs:

An everlasting truth is to allow time to any supplier, same way we are happy to be given time to make our choices. I sent back with my daughter in the USA the last of my stash of yankee dollars then taking my time buy in and get delivered in the states then sent to me.

A recent experience buying a mixer on E Bay turned sour but was reimbursed yesterday in full including freight paid. I commend Paypal as being a strong back up. In this case the firm honoured in full.

When Ritzheng was new to the pen market my only beef with them was the very high freight, I used to buy in the hundreds specifying hang Gold ie plating with the individual parts on a branch like structure, getting an engish fluent person and dealing through them was great. However I will never come to grips with paying chinese firms in American dollars.

Peter.
