FRom above there is a disconnect that is more than compensated with the bowl on the flat. I agree the wood shown defines the piece. From the outside the black rim leads into the composition of the piece and a wise decision to equalise the cover on the lower half Stewart. Looking for the next two.

Peter.

Thanks for your kind comments. It was fun to do and I'm having a hard time thinking about putting it in my open house and someone buying it! I'm also contemplating what sort of price to put on it! It's 12 inches in diameter, 1.5 inches deep and is made from beech...how do I price it?? Time involved even at minimum wage would be a lot!

Stewart, that is a really fine and unique art piece

If you're going to sell it, don't be afraid to charge for the time and effort required to achieve the finished piece. Be proud of your price
