Ram's horn pen

I don't post too many under 'Other Materials' ....mostly under 'Wood'.
Here's a Headwind from Lord Beaufort dressed with ram's horn. No segmenting needed. I should have cleaned it before taking the picture.

Before seeing your excellent result, I would have thought that a ram's horn would be too curly and hollow to be useful for a pen. Obviously not.

You probably know that the dust is serious, but the turning goes well once you get it round.

I get off-cuts from a local vet who makes handles for shepherd's crooks out of them before he hands them to me.
