There are plenty of options you can set in your own user account, including what you want to be automatically notified about when things happen on the forum or when replies to your threads are posted.

If you're expecting to receive an email when a post is made to a thread you've created, or to one you're watching, and you don't receive it, that's probably because the settings in your preferences need to be tweaked - especially if you registered before the forum software changed in November.

Click on your user name at the top of the page, and a drop-down tab will appear.

You can change several things from that tab, but if you click on "preferences", the following screen will appear.

*** Remember when you're doing this, that the word "messages" refers to what we would call "posts", and the word "conversations" refers to what we would call "Private Messages" ***

The first section (marked 1) is all about the notification emails you want to receive - or don't want to receive.

The second section (marked 2) is all about system notifications. You won't receive emails about these, but they'll show up on the Bell icon next to your username at the top of the page, each time you log in.

Tick or untick all the boxes as you see fit, then click the Save button at the bottom of the page and the job is done.

Warning! This thread has not had any replies for over a year. You are welcome to post a reply here, but it might be better to start a new thread (and maybe include a link to this one if you need to).
