Shell shock ??

I was turning a piece of Beech and it seemed to want to be a shell so this is how it turned out. I put a glass tube in the top so it could used as a bud vase, I also cut it in half and hollowed out a shallow hole about 2 1/2 inches only (as I wanted the base to heaver so it would be more stable) so it could hold a few odd bits. Its 10 x 3 inches.
