I've been buying the Statesman and Gentleman (regular and Classic, rollerball and fountain) kits from Turners Retreat for many years, I really like the weight and quality of both. Unfortunately Turners Retreat are discontinuing them and there appears to be no other UK supplier. I contacted Dayacom and they confirmed they had no other UK or EU supplier! They will sell to me directly, initially they quoted 300 MOQ but one querying they will come down to 100 MOQ but with increased prices. I'm really not in a position to order this quantity. Anyone else use these kits and have any thoughts? Group purchase maybe?

@Simon Webb Oliver’s woodturnings had them in stock a few weeks again, checked and they are still showing stock so may be worth popping over to have a look

The full size Majestic is in the same category but a great pen.

Now if you think they cost a lot check out the Great Palace Vine kit.

Up to now I have not really made any profit on any of my pens I have covered my costs but thats about it. I have quoted what I thought the pens were worth after taking into acount the time and effort thats gone into them. But I can see by the look on there face they are not going to buy the pen. No point in buying an expensive pen kit that I know I will not be able to sell.
I admire you Guys that are able to get the true value of your work but up to now that as not worked for me.
Most of my pens end up going to Charity. Maybe I need some marketing suggestions from some of you Guys who are actually selling pens for what they are truly worth. I have spent more money on kits and pen making components than I have ever recieved in income from selling pens.
Its a good job its not my main source of income if it was I would be sleeping under a fly over.

I was at Turners Retreat shop yesterday and they seemed to have a lot of Statesman kits-discounted as well.
I'm sorry, I didn't check on the Gentleman.
They are very helpful on the phone if you care to ring them
