It will change colour over time, but the outcome is not unpleasant.
Just took a quick snap for comparison.

The top pen was made a few months ago, and the bottom one was one I kept from about 10 years ago.

Neil and Roy on U Tube a guy recently turning an incredible object showed some he claimed were as beautiful a number of years before and they had lost all the fire and detail. Richard Raffan used say in part of his presentation most timbers revert over time to plain. the bottom pen held its own in the timber department.
