Streamline pen pen mechanism thread

What is the thread in a streamline pen pen mechanism, while i have thread gauges even with glasses i would not like to say what i'm seeing.
I want to make a tool and need to know what the thread is.

Ken, do you mean the thread that accepts the cross style refill? If that is what you are after, I surmise that you perhaps thinking of manufacturing some kind of extraction tool? If that is the case I wouldn’t bother as I’m not sure that it would take the extraction force, better to get thirty or forty spares and whack the duff ones out with transfer thingies!

They are a real PITA to get back out especially with not a lot to get hold of🤬🤬

Been there done that I spent months trying to find the thread size for a project I had in mind. There is no info out there on the thread size.
I even sent one away to a machine shop and paid them to determine what the thread was. The info came back thread not recognised.
I can check my notes and see what I came up with as a fix. It depends what you are wanting the thread size for exactly.

Yes that was my intension til i realise that the thread was at the top and would just come apart. I'll drink less beer next time :winking::winking:
The original idea was to make a small slide hammer.

Just on the subject of slimline and Streamline pens. Has anyone come across the problem of the refill winding itself in again??
Can you fix it, any advice from the experts???
