When I order I stipulate the size and from some guys pay a premium for the extra used to make fantastic pens from 1/2 inch Corian with a 7 mm hole important part how you drill and how centred the holes are on the other scale too large blanks are manifestly wastefull, the soggy and split ones used to get me wonderful when you can select your own blanks or trust the supplier IMHO.

Oh... erm... I just make pens and stuff. :winking:

That Thuya Burl set was the 2,005th item that I made, and the latest (yesterday) was number 2,076.

Cheers
Rod
You count everything you've made? Blimey, I haven't got a clue but it's certainly not that many.

The Thuya is an interesting burr. I looked it up on tintywobble, for one it is apparently pronounced Tweeya :nooidea: but I love doing pens with it, the fragrance from it is really rather nice.

Yes... I started keeping a record on a spreadsheet from the first. I'm kinda OCD about that sort of stuff :-)
But for practical reasons, if I am asked by someone to make a pen the same as #1398 for example, I can see what it was!

Thuya smells heavenly because it is a type of cedar, very similar to cedar of Lebanon.
