Hi all

Looking to the future I will probably want to have a go it producing kit less fountain pens, I already have most of the kit needed and just need to find a supplier of tripple thread taps and dies.

Anyone got any recommendations for a supplier of such items.

I know Beaufort inks sell them, anyone use another supplier, got any recommendations.

I was hoping to not spend what Beaufort are asking and hopping that maybe an engineering supplier my be more reasonable in their prices, a big hope I know for such a specialised item, but worth the ask.

Thanks for any help with this.

You can use normal taps and dies but if you want triple start they will cost you a lot more. I dont think you will find triple start taps and dies any cheaper than Beaufort ink.

Occasionally, IAP organizes a group-purchase of triple-start taps and dies that results in slightly lower prices sourced directly from the maker (Tapco). The folks who do it are the US, so you would have to address the shipping and customs issues.

There appears to be the beginnings of a discussion now, so if you are interested, you should be monitoring the IAP site.
