Vintage Brody Blank Alphas

These are a couple of Alphas made up with some early Brody blanks which I bought ages ago. It took me this long to find a kit worthy of them!

I really love the Onyx Citrus one!

The only problem I had with these pens was both have cracks in the finished item - they both split when assembling. I think these were a polyester resin, which is definitely more brittle. I have repaired the cracks with CA, and they seem to be holding ok though :praying:

Good to that you could repair them Alan, as both the pens carry very nice blanks .. Two nice looking pens indeed .. :thumbs:

Too bad about the cracks.
I learned to ALWAYS run a round file through the tube
and then rub candle wax inside the tube and on the
component to be pressed in. Makes for smoother assembly
and easier dis-assembly when necessary.
(Forgot to mention about the file in an earlier thread by Ratty)

I did file out the inside, I didn't use a candle though - never tried that. I will give it a shot next time!
