I have no problem what I do have a problem with is any attempt to diminish or denigrate this wonderful season. Easter hot cross buns already abound.
As to when and how those of us with overseas families are prompted earlier to give lead time for selecting and sending presents.
In direct answer to the question on this forum do I think it is safe, yes I think it is, I guess moderation in all things still is good.

Far too early. Week before is soon enough!
Just been around the shops with 3 year old granddaughter who can't understand why it isn't Christmas now when it's all in the shops.

Oh, let me clarify things a little - far too early for it to be in the shops etc.
Completely acceptable when talking about making things for Christmas, we do have a bit of a lead time!

Christmas decorations have been on display since the end of September.
