My turning club suggested making and donating wig stands for women going through chemotherapy. A local business that makes residential elevators has been generous in giving me hardwood scraps. This stand is poplar. 14" tall, dome is 5" dia, base is 6" dia, base dished out to hold jewelry or a watch, polyurethane finish. Looking forward to making more. Hopefully I can get more club members involved.

Beautiful job Terry, between you, Woody, and some others we have some real caring members on here. The top part reminds me of the old sock darning mushrooms, granny would have used (and me), great granddad, twice! You, not me, thumbs up I mean.
