At the moment the only thing I use my wood lathe for is the pen jaws.
I have been toying with the idea of adapting them to fit on my metal lathe by maching an adapter.
I was browsing beaufort inks site and noticed they sell wood lathe chuck adapters in various sizes.
My lathe chuck has a 1x8tpi thread.
Beaufor do an adapter that goes from M33x3.5 to 1x8tpi which is ideal for what I want.
I will hold the M33x3.5 end in a collet and screw the chuck onto the 1x8tpi thread and see how it goes or I might get away with holding the M33x1.5 end in the four jaw.
I will let you know how I get on. Dont you just love this hobby allways some thing new to keep you interested.

Necessity is the mother of invention, it sounds like a good idea....
Good luck mate
