About three weeks ago I brought Pen-Kits UK to the attention of the forum Pen Kits - The Place to Turn to... - Home thinking it may be a new supplier, various comments where made including input from Sam who joined the forum to enable his reply.

I had a think about the comments and decided that I should give them a try, their prices seemed reasonable & although delivery times were given as 20 days, there were a number of items that I could order that their was no urgency in the delivery, also these items were not available from my two main suppliers TaylorsMirfield & Timberbits. I was also allowed to pay via my favoured payment system bank transfer rather than PayPal.

My order of around £100 was quickly acknowledged & I was kept informed of progress and my package with all items ordered arrived today. all in good order and inside the quoted time frame.

Items that I ordered, included Jr Gents with gun metal plating, hopefully I will show these made up in the near future.

I will be ordering from them again, good service, quality products, spot on, Thanks Rachel & Sam

A good write up Billy, I believe I defended them rather than slate them so it's good to know of your experience.

What was the shipping cost of your order Billy? I don't seem to be able to find any guide to the cost of this on the site

I can't find my actual initial quote now Ray but I think it was around £7, the parcel I received weighed about 2kg and was the size of a adult shoe box

Billy your welcome assessment allows others to know how you were treated exercising choice and being well received. I love in this country bank depositing in the firms bank account through the local branches, no charges no fuss cash available immediately so the purchase can be honoured immediately following a scanned deposit receipt. Sometimes we forget the dealers in our haste to do business, as you say a little forethought allows everyone to go forward.

OH I've never used these, just penkits uk... didn't we have a thread about this company a while ago where they joined in and said about their policy of ordering from the suppliers once a week and not retaining stock? I think they were very honest at the time after starting off getting a bit of a slating and seemed quite good so its good to hear a member receiving a super service.

I have purchased materials and equipment from Penkitsuk UK for some time. They are approachable, reasonably/competitively priced, have a decent rage of kits and assembly instructions for those who require them and postage is quick. They do also accept credit cards.
I only buy kits and tools from them but I would like any suggestions as to who sell the best quality of pen blanks, there seems to be a very variable range out there from the special to the firewood brands.

My word Bill - you have been trawling deep into the archives of this forum. This thread was last contributed to getting on for two years ago. This being your very first post, why don't you say hello and tell us a bit about yourself in the "introduce yourself" section of these forums. Welcome, by the way.
