I didn't know if I would be able to drill a hole this long accurately enough as the Corian was only 12mm square and a bit rough at that! I chose a piece that was reasonably true and set it up carefully in my independent 4 jaw chuck (metal lathe), then drilled it out in stages. I made a few small changes to dimensions and made the bushings from steel.
I've been using Pentel pencils for years and like them a lot. What I don't care for is the tacky plastic body. Redressing them in wood add a degree of elegance that I really enjoy.
