    Leaving gift

    Hi all, I have been busy on another project of late but was asked for a quick gift to present as someone is leaving at work ( not me I hope:rant:) Well below is my offering, made from Horse Chestnut with an Oak desk tray, I fitted a Bock 1.5 italic nib also as they do graphic art

    Underneath the lamp light.......

    Never made one before. The stem was taken from a firewood pile.....no idea what it is though.....could be Chestnut,,,not sure and the base is from a small Ash bowl blank. And it works too......:banana::banana: Cheers Frederick Picture taken on ipad. And no.....it's not a wall light...

    Magnolia

    A small (3 1/2" x just over 1") bowl in Magnolia. Sprayed black then cut back with cellulose thinners and finished in Chestnut finishing oil.

    Green Yew

    I was bag drying this Yew but kept tripping over it so turned it green yesterday. 8 1/2" x 4" finished in Chestnut food safe oil.

    Christmas arch.

    Hi All, This was nice pattern to cut. Christmas arch fro Sue Mey. I used 5 different woods. Yew, Cedar, Apple Beech and Chestnut. All brilliant to cut but Cedar is my favourite as it smells wonderful. Sue Mey Christmas arch. - YouTube

    This is the one I posted about while I was still finishing it, at last, have managed to complete it. Again this is a chestnut burr finished with Chestnut stains and acrylic lacquer measures 4 1/2" X 2 1/4"

    Playing with video

    I am working on a piece of chestnut burr which is stained with chestnut spirit stains and has been sealed and a coat of finish. Tomorrow I will give it a gentle rub down and remove the chucking point

    Chestnut vase/open turning

    Just finished this Chestnut Burr today it stands 6 1/2" tall by 6 1/2" across. Finished with sander sealer and satin lacquer, I then gave it a wax with woodwax22 as the satin finish was not what I wanted but the high gloss would have been too glossy. All body parts kept in the safe zone behind...

    Italian Olive 7" x 1 3/4" splits filled with leak fix filler and finished in Chestnut finishing oil (only 1 coat so far!)

    Yew bowl turned today, decided to leave this one chunky. Finished with sander sealer and carnauba wax buffed on the Chestnut buffing system. Measures 10 1/2" X 3"

    Todays little effort from the workshop a small chestnut burr, Finished with sander sealer and buffed on a three wheel buffer. Measures 6" X 3 1/4". I had to tidy the top rim up as a piece broke off making it look untidy for a natural edge C & C welcome
