    My attempts from today

Thought I would show off some of my amateurish work. The resin blanks I made myself, the red one had an air hole appear when I turned it down, so I cut the blank back on the tube and added an African Blackwood slice and turned it back down. Maybe not ideal but I guess it sort of salvaged a pen...

    Cigar Pen Kits

Does anyone have experience with cigar pen kits. I have bought a number of them over the years, from a couple of different UK suppliers and by and large I have had the same problem with them. I find that the transmission mechanism is unlike a ballpoint mechanism that turns to a certain point...

    Cigar Hog Wild

This is a Cigar pen in black chrome from Woodturningz. The blank is an acrylic acetate called Hog Wild. This is for a customer who is a San Francisco Giants fan (local baseball team). Their colors are orange and black. I hope this is orange enough. It's spectacular regardless.

    Cigar Midnight Mesh

Another Cigar pen, this one in antique brass. The blank is an acrylic acetate called Midnight Mesh. I didn't know what to expect from the blank, I thought it would just be black and white. But it has a bluish cast to it, and lots of figure and pearl. Very pretty indeed! I also didn't know if it...
