    Pine cone and field maple

    Hey all. This Sunday, I took myself into the shed, put on some headphones and just enjoyed an hours peace focusing purely on this pen. Im never terribly happy with the photos, as I do not think it does the pen justice, but I hope you enjoy this little one. Blank made by myself.

    the finished article

    hey all, the other day I posted some pictures of my knife I am making out of some garden sheers. the scales (handle) was made by myself using wood and resin. Well I am happy to say that it is all finished! 4 days worth of work and I am so happy with it, especially the handle! I am still awaiting...

    Better pen finish

    Hi, I have been using CA as a finish for many months now , and whilst it wears well I am not always happy with the glassy finish it leaves, any ideas on other hard wearing finishes guys?

    New Ebonite fountain pen

    Some lovely Ebonite from Phil at Beaufort ink. I love working with this stuff. This is the first of these i've made. Im not 100% happy with it, but it's a start.

    Every now and again I get to cut across the grain with this timber. Every piece I have is eaten down the centre by Termites. Way back it became a very favourite timber to seek out and use. Happy with this one. Peter.:thumbs:

    First casting completed!!!

    Well despite a hectic weekend I did manage to cast my first blanks. I used translucent tinting pigment from easy composites, will try the powder colouring next attempt. Quite happy but will have to see how it turns later in the week.
