    Think it's maple

    Ok so here is my latest pen, again a gift for family and I think it's maple but not sure so I have supplied a image of the wood I used. Pen was turned in short/end grain just to see if I could ( why not ) making my own rules. The pen is from Beaufort ink first of many I think, good quality kit...

    Couple of days making.

    Who'se been a busy boy then. I think the platter is Elm, the goblet was a scrap piece of split Oak and the tea lights are made from Walnut and Maple bits. Trying to keep busy.... Cheers Frederick

    Maple rolling pin.

    Nothing too exciting, just a Maple rolling pin birthday gift. About 21"/530mm long, 2 1/2"/63mm in diameter with a mineral oil finish. It did make me wish for a longer tool rest. Pete
