    A Victorian fountain pen

    Made this today and dressed it in a very nice piece of Thuya burr in keeping with what the Victorian cabinet makers would have used as vernier on their top quality furniture finished this one with sanding sealer and spray melamine to go in my collection

    Can anyone point me in the right direction on where to buy a quality metal keyring ring so that i can make three personalised wooden keyrings. I have found plenty out there but the quality is not good enough to supply with the three pens that I am making. Many thanks.

    Cutting

    What are you guys n girls using to cut blocks? Im using a band saw but find it melts the acrylic at hi speed, but wont cut at low. It struggles to cut wood blocks even tho its a quality 1600 saw. So was thinking a bench mitre saw. but with a fine blade? Thoughts ideas more than welcome SVP

    Had a request for some less expensive novelty pens from a craft shop, and gave these a try from Pen-kits.co.uk I know there has been some conversation on cheap kits, but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of these (though they're not that cheap). Nice to use up some left-over bits!
