    A Victorian fountain pen

Made this today and dressed it in a very nice piece of Thuya burr in keeping with what the Victorian cabinet makers would have used as vernier on their top quality furniture finished this one with sanding sealer and spray melamine to go in my collection

    One of my better pens

This is a TM Zeta in gold and gunmetal. The woods are beech and walnut with alluminiumapex top and bottom. The top bands are green, red and yellow guitar picks. The scollop at the bottom is kirnite. Have been turning pens 8 months now and really enjoy segmented pens.

    Ash bowl

As well as completing the earing stands I also managed to turn this bowl. There was no way that I could get the markings on the outside to be on the top which was a shame

    bonding brass to wood

Not sure if anyone in here can help but it doesn't harm to ask & I know people will do other things apart from turning pens lol May have a job where I would like to inset a brass square (100mm) into the top of a post, I can pocket the top of the post out easy enough so the brass plate sits...

    Stamp box

Another present made this time a box to keep some stamps in as well as a place for things like tweezers in the top tray. The lid is held in place by the top tray as I wanted the bottom to be quite shallow to make it easier to get the stamps out of the divisions. Made from an old shelf unit of...

    Four in a row

Hi guys, Had a commission from a gentleman in Bath, for four Mistrals, one of each and the fountain pen had a Bock 18kt solid gold nib on it. He wanted Thuya wood dressings on each pen, matched as good one could get. Had one split on the top barrel, so I had to get some other replacements from...

My first Minstrel pen kit. I got the centre band in the wrong location and I can not seat the piece that sits on top of the cap fully obviously I am doing something wrong. But what ever I would certainly do another one.

I have put this here and see how it goes. And then I will post the finished item in the correct place. I did start with a sketch with this one but due to a small detail that did not look right I went and cut another piece of wood to return it, but not wanting to waste the piece I decided to...
