Over the weekend i found an old mini 3/8" spindle gouge without an handle, i don't even recall how it has ended up in my workshop? I am thinking of making my own handle, turning it isn't going to be a problem (he says) it is the drilling of the hole to place the gouge in that has me thinking. You see at the end of the gouge it is shaped triangular that tapers down to a point. Would i have to drill the hole to the maximum size of the taper, if so i have a large hole with only a small surface of the gouge in contact within the side wall.
What would you do?
