I was ask on the last set of these why are the tubes stepped it’s for several reasons one because both halves tapper two because on most modern kits the tubes are shorter and the finial is thinner and hollow to accommodate the refills this kit the business end tube is longer and takes the whole of the refill I hope this clears it up for you.

This set I have dressed in desert ironwood

Another brilliant Job Grandad. Yew, dug mine out earlier that me and Dad brought well over 25 years ago. I must get one done again, really nice kit quality as well.
