Looks like you are on a winner with those Bendy's Neil, they do look good .. I liked the look of last pen before reading the description, was the colouring added at the late stage of making the pen?

ps: you forgot to say, wear gloves when you apply stain 'cos red fingers doesn't look good on a bloke and it lasts a while. Don't ask how I know that!

Sanded to 600 with the lathe off, and with the grain Jim. The stain will pick up any scratches or defects.
Apply the stain and let it dry for a couple of minutes, then buff at high speed with kitchen towel to remove any excess stain, or it may colour your finish.

Tell me about it! I have a bag of disposable gloves. When I made the rocket pen the glove obviously had more holes than intended, and 3 black fingers was the end result
