If you have visited my website Flickr gallery you will have seen these before but as mentioned in the HRB Jr. Gent. thread here is a chrome bolt action kit in native Scottish burr elm.
I find that other turners and woodworkers are happy to give away small offcuts of burr oak and elm that are ideal for pen blanks so making these can be a lot cheaper than using exotics like HRB. The bolt action pens are very popular with gun clubs and the shooting fraternity.

And here is a batch I made for a gun club member to give as Christmas presents, the four on the left are burr elm, the next two cross cut walnut and I can't remember what the other one on the right is but looks like it is probably mopane;
