Very interesting and unique. How much does it weigh?

Is it a keeper or a headliner on the stall Johnny?

Peter.

Been thinking about that all day ? . Got enough steel to make another one in mancave.
Lots of interest with Fountain pen collectors but a lot of People look down on kit pens.
One person said to me he would throw money at me if it wasn't a kit pen ????
Options,
try eBay with a silly reserve price,
keep it for myself
or put a silly price on it to recoup my outgoings.

Hi Johnny, nice work. I have a couple of contacts for damascus, but it's not cheap. With my pens, I too was concerned about weight with regards to some brass ones I made a while back, but I had a surprising conversation yesterday with a fountain pen group about the Caran d'Ache ercridor retro pen, which is made of brass, and plated. This particular pen weighs the same as yours at around 46g, so it just goes to show there's a market for them. I think I may make some more

Thanks Brad, Still learning the trade but the kitless road is one i will be joining. Not ready yet and especially on Damascus steel with what it costs.
There is a specialist pen maker who makes Damascus steel pens in USA and he sells regularly.
Like you said There is a market for heavy pens however it is still a hobby for me and not a business , just enjoy pushing myself to new and different things .
I have made Aluminium/Bronze pens for a customer and that was as heavy as the Steel pen .
