I have never wet a pen ever to use Gorilla brown,NO failures, also Only once did a brass pop out even a little but caution tells me to wrap a rubber band end for end on a blank and I cut that off after 2 hrs.

I guess we all do what works for us. I don’t really want to risk using something I don’t know on a pen I am selling or giving to someone else. Once I have found a glue that works for me I stick to it (sorry!) because I have plenty of other things I want to experiment with in the time I have available. For me 5 min epoxy works just fine.

Polyurethane seems to be a flexible adhesive so I use it when I make sanding belts and it works very well for that. It’s a bit messy though.
