Hi Doc - most of us started down this road by getting a lathe we didn't know we needed. in fact, when we look back down the long dark tunnel of memory that's about the last sane moment we can remember. Lathes spread a communicable disease known as GAS - Gear Acquisition Syndrome. Onset is virtually immediate and the disease is characterised by hiding credit card statements from the wife or dad, suddenly finding workshops need expansion and having dustbins full of little plastic bags marked 'Timberbits'. Our Alex has it the worst - he now has a separate shed for his chainsaw, and has a logging lorry on his driveway. When he gets his driver's license he'll be fearsome!
