Gentleman in Spalted beech

It's been a while since I have been in the garage/workshop but I managed to get out and turned this pen. Very happy with the result.

(I entered the recent competition and would like to thank Phil for the Tempest pen kit. Once the kit is made I will post pictures and thank him properly)

Beautiful pen, nicely finished - not sure about the chrome, always fancy a gold with a lighter wood but just a personal preference

All around first class, excellent!!
I have a large block of Spalted Beech, but no where near that nice.

THat's a great blank Simon. Spalted beech is always a winner when you can get hold of a nice piece as you have done
