A few weeks ago I saw Dalboys (Derek) version of a tri cornered bowl on another forum and I liked it so much that I wanted to have a go at making one but in my version I wanted to turn the wings down.
Speaking to Woody I asked him if it was viable considering there is large gaps between each wing thereby making it difficult tool control. Woody's answer was " Give it a go " so in for a penny in for a pound. I managed to get a large enough piece of wood from John Boddy's and it is Black Cabbage Bark.
The dimensions of the bowl is (9 in x 11/2 in) and the finish is Finishing oil and is still a work in progress.
My thanks to Derek for giving me the inspiration and to Woody for giving me the belief it could be done !!!
