Hi Everyone
Been Long time since I looked on here, in fact had to get a new password cos I'd forgotten it!
I was reading a question bout CA Glue but then lost it, so couldnt reply! Someone asking bout "Best" CA glue to use
Well, I'm only a novice pen maker but some might find my imput useful.
I use Powerbond 806 Industrial Strength Adhesive as a finish an have no problems at all an rarely use more than two coats to get a great finish. Also I found that just using steam will activate the finish so I rarely use a shop bought activator I just put my lathe on slowest revolutions an drip few drops of Powerbond on turnings whilst spreading it with clean lint free cloth gently. then I use a small hand held steamer (whilst still turning) for 2-3 seconds to harden glue, wipe off wetness an job done Then, if not happy, I fine sand using 400+ an repeat process. Completed! As stated, I'm a Novice but I have no problems
